ADAS Calibration

Most newer vehicles have a camera mounted behind the windshield that powers features like lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. These systems are called ADAS, or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.

When the windshield is replaced, that camera is removed and remounted. Even a tiny change in its angle can mean it's looking at the road slightly wrong. At highway speed, that can put your lane assist or emergency braking off by feet. Calibration re-aims the camera to the manufacturer's specifications.

Static and Dynamic Calibration

• Static calibration is done with the vehicle parked, using precisely placed targets and a scan tool.
• Dynamic calibration is done by driving the vehicle under set conditions while the system relearns the road.

Some vehicles need one, some need both. We follow the manufacturer's procedure for your specific vehicle.
