Barnegat Township runs from the bayfront and the historic village along US 9, past the Parkway, out to the newer neighborhoods off Route 72 and the Barnegat side of Ocean Acres. It's a short drive south from our shop in Forked River, and we cover the whole township.
Getting Around Barnegat
Barnegat drivers use the Parkway at exit 67 (Bay Avenue / Route 554), US 9 through the village, and Route 72 and Route 539 on the western side of town. Between Parkway commuting and Route 72 shore traffic, there's no shortage of flying stones.
Newer Neighborhood, Newer Car
A lot of Barnegat homes are newer, and so are a lot of the cars in the driveways. Most vehicles from the last several years have a forward camera behind the windshield, and after a replacement it has to be recalibrated. We do it on-site, during the same visit. How fast can a chip spread?
Sometimes overnight. A cold morning, a hot defroster or a pothole can turn a small chip into a crack. Until we get there, put a piece of clear tape over it and avoid blasting the defroster directly on it.
